The Wild for Life Commerce City Triathlon will take place for the first time at Adams City High School, 7200 Parkway, Commerce City, on Sunday, October 2023. This fun family friendly pool triathlon will have a short 200-yard pool swim, 2 lap 12.7-mile bike ride closed to traffic and a 3.1-mile run. Entries are limited, so get yours in now.
Sprint Triathlon
200 yard swim / 12.7 mile bike / 3.1 mile run
If you are new to triathlon, this is the distance for you!
Multi-sport Relays
2-3 person teams can compete together to complete the sprint Triathlon Relay, Sprint Triathlon Relay or Sprint Duathlon Relay
Bike Course Information:
Northbound lanes of Quebec Parkway will be closed during the event for cyclist safety from 56th Avenue to Highway 2.
The course will be a two lap course.
Bike Lap Counting
Participants are responsible for counting their bike laps. If a participant does not complete the correct amount of laps, they are not eligible for place awards.
Volunteers are NOT responsible for counting laps or instructing participants to continue, or exit race course.
Snake Swim
Athletes will be lined up along the pool deck according to estimated swim times.
The fastest swimmer will enter the water first. A representative from the timing company will enter race numbers into their timing system and will give instructions when to start. After the first swimmer has completed one length of the pool, the next swimmer will be told to start.
How to do the snake swim: Dunk under each lane line to change lanes during the snake swim. When finished, exit the pool via the ladder or climb out over the edge of the pool. Exit to the transition area from the pool door. This is where the first timing split will be collected.

6:00 am to 8:00 am Race Day Packet Pick Up
9:00 am: Sprint Waves Start
12:00 pm: Bike Cut-Off
1:00 pm: Run Cut-Off / Course Closed
Parking Lot Access:
Enter via E. 72nd Avenue off Quebec Parkway. Access to the parking lot will close at 8:00 a.m.
After 8:00 a.m. (once access closes) and during the event, access in and out of the Adam City High School parking lot will be accessible via E. 72nd Avenue thru the Rocky Mountain Wildlife Refuge. Please refer to the map for route description
After race has concluded, E. 72nd Avenue to Quebec Parkway will re-open as time allows.
